Position Description: Actionscript Developer

Standard Job Description:
Update and maintain a variety of existing Flash applications, working in conjunction with other Flash developers, graphic artists, and subject matter experts.

Specific Job Description:
Build new, and maintain existing Flash applications that support training and technical documentation for US Navy Submarine Sonar maintenance.

The following skills are required:
  • Significant experience in AS 2.0 and AS 3.0
  • Solid understanding of the principles of OOP
  • Experience defining, accessing, and organizing class packages
  • Experience developing in IDE (e.g., Eclipse) using version control (e.g., SVN)
  • Experience integrating and manipulating a variety of external data sources for Flash-based applications
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to stay focused and meet deadlines during chaos
The following skills are highly desirable:
  • Building or working within frameworks
  • Experience with multiple design patterns, not limited to MVC
Additional requirements:
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • U.S. citizen holding or able to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
Job Location: Manassas, Virginia

Contract Terms: 40 hours/week, onsite
